Year 1 had the fantastic opportunity of making smoothies using a bike. We followed recipes and chose the smoothies we wanted to make. Then we took it in turns to pedal the bike and make some scrumptious fruit smoothies. We particularly liked adding strawberries. Yum yum!!
Today as part of health and fitness week a smoothy bike came into school. We worked in groups to choose which smoothy we wanted to make and the ingredients we had to put into the blender. We then pedalled on a bike to make the fruit blend. In our groups we tasted our smoothies and they were delicious!!
Today in P.E we started to look at athletics. We talked about what athletics is and then we looked at jumping. We learnt that first we had to bend our knees next swing our arms and finally sticky feet. We had to jump over the river using these three steps. To make it more tricky we made the river wider with the skipping ropes! We then worked with a partner to measure how far we could jump am
As part of health and fitness week in science we drew around our friend and labelled their body! It was fun but hard to keep still!
