This week we enjoyed a trip to Durham Castle. During the summer term we have been learning all about castles; naming the parts of a castle, looking at the people who worked in Medieval Castles and studying William the Conqueror.
We were so excited to go inside the castle where we saw two chapels, the Great Hall and a gallery of medieval artefacts. During our trip we also got to create our own castles using a range of materials, we made sure our castles had battlements and turrets! We even tried to create our own Drawbridges!
To end our day we took part in a medieval dance, dressing up as knights and ladies. We even had a special Prince Bishop we got to wear a shiny crown. We had a fantastic day and our behaviour was outstanding!!
